REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Diploma
• Experience of developing innovative and unique solutions to complex problems on high traffic websites
• Strong experience of PHP5 (PCNTL extension), JavaScript, XML, MYSQL
• Experience in OOP, designing and implementing pattern-based solutions
• Experience of developing solutions using PHP combined with popular frameworks such as CakePHP, Zend & etc
• Proficiency in *NIX command line and with common *NIX tools
• Usage of Git in a complex development environment
• Experience working with bug tracking systems such as Basecamp, Bitbucket or JIRA
• Software development cycle fundamentals (Jenkins, apache Ant, phpUnit & etc.)
• Good command of the English language - verbal and written
• Experience in defining technical architecture of the project
• Must be a self starter with ability to take initiative

• SNATZ is a fully automated and personalized news recommendation engine focusing on technology news.* It crawls several thousands of technology-related feeds every day, and presents the 12 most popular & trending news at the time.
• Selection of the news articles is based on SNATZ’s real-time analysis of what we call “Semantic Network of Trends" based on its advanced NLP (natural language processing) & clustering of the news.
• Such analysis of "Semantic Network" allows SNATZ to select segments of the blogosphere, takes single news from each segment and makes recommendations primarily on trends containing the interests of the users.* This approach enables SNATZ to provide a wider range of topics still with the user interests.*
