Ciklum*is a Danish innovative IT outsourcing company specializing in nearshore software development in Ukraine.*

Currently we are looking for a*Junior Java/DB Developer*to join our*ComScore*team.*

ComScore*has an opportunity in software team for an experienced mid-level java developer with solid hands on experience in working with and developing software in*Big Data technologies*(Java / Hadoop/ Vertica / Netezza):*
• Developing software for a multi-tier business intelligence platform using full Agile SDLC*
• Performing unit test for developed software to ensure software is working as expected*
• Enhance and improve existing capabilities of the platform*
• Troubleshooting production issues and data related issues*
• When needed, install application software on production & staging systems during maintenance windows at night or during weekends*
• Be willing to work in a fast paced, demanding, challenging and fun environment*

Experience:*
• At least 1-2 years of experience in working on software development projects*
• At least 1-2 years of experience working with Java frameworks for big data projects focusing on data integration.*
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with integration tools and SQL databases: working with SQL databases like SQL Server/Oracle/Vertica/Netezza, writing queries, analyzing explain plans, optimizing performance and fixing database related issues.*
• Must have prior experience working with code management tools like AccuRev, Git, Subversion*
• Must have prior experience working with software debugging tools*
• Prior experience with Agile development methodology would be a big plus*
• Hands-on experience working on large scale projects and deployments using Java MPP technologies and Open Source frameworks / tools / projects (Linux, Apache Hadoop, Storm, Apache Camel, etc.) would be a big plus*
• Expertise in J2EE Technologies such as Servlets, JSP, JNDI, JMS and JDBC*
• Experience working with java based ETL tools like Talend is a plus*
• Extensive knowledge of Open Source Java build tools, Configuring and integration of Hudson, Jenkins, Maven, Ant and Git*
• Must have good troubleshooting and analytical skills for root cause analysis*
• Must be a team player with strong verbal and written communication skills*
• Solid experience in deploying various WAR, JAR, EAR, RAR applications in clustered environment using Admin console & scripts*

Skills:*
• Working with Big Data technologies and distributed computing architecture.*
• Object oriented programming, Java is the preferred language*
• Design and implement applications for scalability and high availability*
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills*
• Strong ability to perform root cause analysis and identify technical fix*
• Must have experience writing complex SQL queries on relational databases*
• Experience working with Linux or UNIX servers and shell scripting*
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle*
• Exposure to Scrum development methodology (optional)*
• Experience using Jira and Confluence tools (optional)*

Education:*
• An advanced degree preferable (CS)*
